Ingenium joins the CEEDA Associate Consultant Partner (ACP) program, which will allow the industry to establish the best practices in energy efficiency

Costa Rica, September 29, 2016 – As experts in the matter of energy efficiency in data centers and using the ACP program from CEEDA, Ingenium will offer advisory services to data center operators who wish to attain the certification, as well as consulting services related to the adoption of better energy efficiency practices and the compliance of CEEDA standards.

The Certified Energy Efficiency in Data Centers Award (CEEDA) is an energy efficiency assessment framework for international data centers that are independent and not related to specific providers or manufacturers.

This certification helps Data Center managers develop a strategy to improve performance and energy efficiency in all types of facilities, discovering cost saving possibilities, and energy consumption and carbon dioxide emission reduction, without putting at risk the availability of the services.

Many companies have acquired this certification, such as Axtel, Claro, KIO Networks, and Telefónica; after implementing better practices, they have made significant savings in their energy bill.

Ingenium CEO Fernando García stated that “Ingenium continues educating the market in matters of better data center practices, and is committed to the health of the environment. Becoming a part of the CEEDA certification helps us accomplish said objectives and adds the benefit of reducing both energy and economic costs for the client.”

The CEEDA certification process begins with an initial assessment of the client’s infrastructure, generating a report that shows the cost savings opportunities, as well as a roadmap for the adoption of better practices in terms of energy efficiency.
